Start your journey!

Departure of the flight to Oslo. Arrival in Oslo and transfer to the hotel, we will have the afternoon free to explore the city center. We suggest a visit to the Fram Museum, which pays tribute to Norwegian polar exploration and the three great Norwegian polar explorers Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, and Roald Amundsen. Free dinner.

Accommodation.

Day 2: Oslo - Longyearbyen

Breakfast.

Transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Longyearbyen. Arrival at the northernmost city on the planet. Free time to explore this fascinating town or take optional excursions.

Accommodation.

Day 3: Departure of the boat expedition

Breakfast and dinner.

Free morning until boarding time from 16:00. We will cast off and head towards Trygghamna Bay, where we will anchor for the night.

Night on the boat.

Day 4: Trygghamna and Alkhornet

Full board.

We will make the first Zodiac landing at Trygghamna. You can see the remains of a 17th-century whaling station. From here we will walk to the Alkhornet cliff, 428 meters high, where about 10,000 pairs of different seabirds reproduce. After lunch on board, the crew will set sail and head to Grimaldibukta Bay.

Night on the boat.

Day 5: St. Johns to 14 de Julibukta

Full board.

The ship will attempt to leave the fjord heading north towards Forlandsundet, a beautiful strait located between the main island of Spitsbergen and the island of Prins Karls Forland. Since this navigation area can still be in the midst of winter, there is an opportunity to observe a lot of wildlife, including ringed and bearded seals.

Pay attention! Large groups of walruses may be found at Sarstangen and Poolepynten! They form a beautiful scene with panoramic mountains in the background that delights cameras.

Overnight on the ship.

Day 6: Trygghamna and Alkhornet

Full board.

In the morning you will wake up in the beautiful Kongsfjorden and Krossfjords, where we will be greeted by the imposing face of the "14th of July" glacier. Nearby, we can find breeding colonies of black guillemots, glaucous gulls, and puffins. These fjords offer numerous places of interest. For example, we may be able to organize a landing on the Blomstrandhalvoya peninsula, where you can see the remnants of a marble mine in Ny London. From this location, we also have a beautiful view of Tre Kroner, the three iconic mountain peaks that shine through the ice cap.

Overnight on the ship.

Day 7: Walruses and Murray Points

Full board.

Today we will head south towards Grimaldibukta. In Murraypynten, we hope to make a landing to spot walruses up close. From the hills, you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the rugged mountain and glacial landscape of Spitsbergen. On the south side of Murraypynten, you can visit the ruins of a cabin built by a German expedition in 1963. In the afternoon, we will continue the journey south, back to the Isfjord, where we will anchor in the sheltered bay of Ymerbukta for the night.

Night on board.

Day 8: Ghost Town: Barentsburg

Full board.

The Esmarkbreen Glacier flows into Ymerbukta Bay, where we will organize a landing in the morning. Depending on the availability of a berth in Barentsburg, we will sail to the Russian mining settlement where we will arrive late in the afternoon. After an adventure trip in the pristine nature of Spitsbergen, you will have the opportunity to move freely without the supervision of a guide with a rifle, as is necessary in most of Spitsbergen.

Night on the ship.

Day 9: Navigation to Longyear City

Full board.

In the morning we hope to reach the old port of Colesbukta. We will see the remains of the coal industry and visit the abandoned cabin of the Russian geologist Vladimir Rusanov. If the weather permits, we will spend the rest of the day sailing back to Longyearbyen. Upon arrival in the Arctic town, you'll have free time. Return to the ship for dinner. The rest of the night is yours to share moments with the crew and your fellow travelers.

Night on the ship.

Day 10: Disembarkation and Return to Oslo

Breakfast.

Every adventure, no matter how grand, must eventually come to an end. You disembark in Longyearbyen, taking home memories that will accompany you wherever your next adventure may be. We will transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Oslo. Free time in the Norwegian capital to stroll through this lively city.

Night in Oslo (airport hotel or city hotel depending on flight schedules).

Accommodation.
