Accommodation.
Breakfast in a restaurant. We will start our adventure in Lapland with an ice fishing excursion on the frozen lake. The experience begins with the arrival at a frozen lake where a fisherman will teach us how to fish on the ice, and each participant will have time to try their luck with the rod through the ice. First, each one will have to make their own hole in the ice and then try to fish. In this lake, we can find perch, pike, and lake herring. We will carry out a fun activity that is enjoyed by both adults and children; a snowshoe walk through the snowy Lapland forest. Light lunch during the excursion. In the afternoon, free time that you can use to do some ski runs or take part in an optional activity.
Breakfast. In the morning we will take an excursion that will remain in our memory for a long time, as we will be able to drive, like true mushers, a sled pulled by a team of huskies. Well-trained huskies can pull up to seven times their own weight. Their trainers will explain this and many more curiosities to us before taking the ride. We will enjoy a light lunch during the excursion. Then, transfer to a reindeer farm where Lappish breeders will tell us about their way of life. We will take a sled ride and learn about the life of reindeer and their herders. The rest of the afternoon is free, which you can use to enjoy some skiing. The little ones will find fun skiing at the Rosa & Rudolf Family Park in Ruka Valley, which can be accessed by a scenic gondola from the village of Ruka. You will have a skipass and the necessary equipment for skiing for 3 hours. Dinner at a local restaurant.
Accommodation.
Breakfast. Today we will embark on one of the most spectacular excursions of the trip, a snowmobile safari. For this, we will be provided with helmets and gloves and after receiving instructions from the guides, we will begin our snowmobile ride. Adults will drive the snowmobiles and the children will travel in a sled that the guide's snowmobile pulls. During the journey, we will be able to feel the power of these machines and enjoy the snowy forests and frozen lakes. Light lunch during the excursion.
In the afternoon, the moment all the children have been waiting for will arrive. We will transfer to the village of Vuotunki where Santa Claus's house is located next to a large frozen lake. On the slopes of the lake, as snow falls, large natural slides are formed where children, and not so children, can enjoy themselves by sledding. The time has come to enter the house where Santa will be waiting for us. Upon entering, we are greeted by an elf, Santa Claus's helper, who leads us to the living room where we will meet Santa himself. We will spend a good time with him, he will tell us stories and teach us a song. Mrs. Claus is an expert cook and today she will teach us her famous Christmas cookie recipe which, once made, we can bake in the house's large wood oven. After the visit, Santa will personally give each child a gift. With the unforgettable memory of this visit, we will say goodbye to the Claus family and begin the return to our accommodation.
Breakfast at a restaurant. Free lunch. Free day at your disposal that you can take advantage of at the ski resort. We optionally propose that you learn to slide on the snowy paths of Lapland as the locals have been doing for a long time, with cross-country skis. Or, if you prefer, in the vicinity of the accommodation, you can do some shopping or enjoy a hot drink in one of the bars in the Village.
Accommodation.
Breakfast. Free time until the indicated time for transfer. You can take advantage of it for last-minute shopping in the Village or enjoy a moment of relaxation before returning. How about practicing a relaxing sauna? The sauna in Finland is a true tradition. Although the Finns did not invent it, they are the country with the highest number of saunas per inhabitant; almost one sauna for every 2 inhabitants, and they practice it most frequently.
