Seeing animals in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans is a piece of cake! Being one of the areas with the fewest visitors in the country, in this National Park you can observe hundreds of specimens of various species, drinking from its waters. Even entire herds of elephants and the Great Wildebeest Migration! Also, it is connected to the Nxai Pan National Park, a place the smallest antelope in the world (the common duiker) has made its home.

Although it seems incredible, the wildlife is not the only interesting thing in this park. On your visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, covered with savannah and palm forests, you will discover that this is only a small part of a series of salt pans, the largest and most striking being Sowa and Ntwetwe. The best part is that when they dry up, their salt makes them look like a huge mirror in the most remote part of the Kalahari. Who wouldn't want to see themselves reflected in it?
