Although it has a total of only 38 kilometers between the lagoon and the atoll, there is much to see during a trip to Bora Bora, one of the favorite islands for those visiting Polynesia. The maraes, ancestral sites with various uses, are a great place to start learning about the island's culture and history. On the white sandy islet Motu Tapu, there is one of the best spots for diving. And in the Bora Bora Aquarium, a space between two of the islets of its atoll, we find the most exuberant and varied marine life on the whole island.
